Skin fades, tapers, and clean lineups for every hair type, cut one-on-one in a private Laurel studio.
Every men's haircut at TCUTME is a full cut with your facial hair included. T reads your hair type and head shape, then builds the fade or taper to match. Temple fades, skin fades, sharp lineups, and natural finishes, all done with one barber giving you their full attention from start to finish.
This is the full service, not a quick clean-up. You get a complete cut shaped to your hair and your preference, with the edges and facial hair finished so you walk out sharp.
Every fade comes down to two choices: how light it goes at the bottom, and where the fade sits on your head. Any combination works, so we'll talk through what fits you.
Skin (bald): Taken all the way down to the skin at the bottom for the sharpest, cleanest finish.
Shadow: Still low and tight, but not all the way down. It won't be completely skin. It'll be light at the bottom, and the hairline will still show around the ears and the neck.
Low: Stays low, right around the ears and the back of the neck.
Mid: Starts and finishes about halfway up the head.
Drop: Starts mid, runs past the ears, then drops down and follows the curve at the back of the head.
High: Sits high on the head, the classic military look.
Southside: The highest of them all. The fade sits up above the crown.
Low, mid, and drop fades are the most flexible and look good on the widest range of people. A couple of soft rules from experience: Southside fades usually look best taken down to skin rather than shadow, and high military fades tend to look sharpest bald too, unless you've got a good amount of length on top to balance it out (think a taller cut up top).
Whatever you pick, T blends it clean and keeps the top shaped the way you want it.
A taper keeps things subtle. It starts with more length up top and gradually shortens around the ears and the back of the neck, without taking the sides down to skin. You won't see much fade, if any. The hair just eases down to a clean, natural edge.
Hairline and edges lined for a crisp frame, plus your beard or facial hair tidied so the whole look ties together.
Straight, wavy, curly, coily, and kinky textures, plus chemically treated hair. The approach changes with your hair, the precision doesn't.
A fade blends the hair all the way down to the skin. A taper keeps a little length at the edges for a softer drop. T will recommend whichever suits your hair and how you like to wear it.
